September 29—October 3, 2025
University Residential Center
Bertinoro (Forlì-Cesena), Italy
The workshop on Distributed Geometric Algorithms has been bringing together members of the computational geometry and distributed computing communities in order to present, identify, and discuss important problems at the intersection of these areas, with a particular focus on problems that require skills from both communities. The list of potential topics is long and growing due to new and exciting directions, for example, in the areas of self-organizing biological and robotic systems, dynamic networks (including social and vehicular), and smart homes, factories, and cities. As in previous editions, several tutorials and short talks will be given by experts in their corresponding fields. In addition to the plenary sessions, the workshop provides ample space for discussions and work sessions to facilitate new collaborations between members of the two communities. Specifically, while the mornings of the first few days of the workshop will be reserved for tutorials and short talks in a plenary meeting, the rest of the workshop will be reserved for research discussions in small groups.
The first two DiG@BiCi workshops that took place in 2019 and 2022 were a great success. You can check the following webpages for their details: DiG@BiCi19, DiG@BiCi22.
